Dr. Nixdorf's style of acupuncture is gentle and based on classical Chinese medicine theory. Pulse and tongue diagnosis along with an individual's symptoms are used in customizing each acupuncture  treatment. 

Biotherapeutic Drainage is a philosophy and treatment framework that has been used in Europe for over a 100 years. Biotherapeutic Drainage uses a combination of low dose botanical medicines and homeopathic doses of plants, minerals and metals to help your body physiologically release toxins.  The goal of treatment with Biotherapeutic drainage is always to get the body to react, self- regulate, and return to normal, healthy physiologic functioning.  Dr. Nixdorf has studied and used bio therapeutic drainage for 20 years.

 Dr Nixdorf has 17 years of clinic experience in Naturopathic medicine and Acupuncture.  She completed her residency in 2007 and has since worked in group practices, her own private practice and has volunteered with multidisciplinary medical teams locally and internationally. Combining and integrating the wisdom of both worlds,  Dr Nixdorf is one of few dually trained and experienced in both Naturopathic Medicine and Classical Chinese Medicine. She can also be seen locally on both the East and West Coast.
